Dod id cards

My wife and I have had our DOD clearance for about a year now. We do not have any type if ID saying we have that or a picture ID. The co we r with says that the govt is not issuing CATCARDS any more. Has anyone else run into that problem. It would sure be a lot easier showing an ID than having to be searched and checked everytime we go on a base.
Thanks a lot.

MDScott, I will give you a little different perspective...
Cat cards are the result of a 2006 Executive Order and also require readers at secure facilities and sub facilities. I am a Contract Background Investigator and although was aware of the order, just received mine. I spend all day on secure sites so it would be safe to assume they are a little behind. The program is now called USA Access and they have allot of sites that require a scheduled appointment online after receiving your email notification to schedule the appointment. Then you will go in and all of your Biometrics will be obtained. You will receive an additional notice to go and receive as well as activate your Cat Card. The facility I went to was run by the Department of Interior. Rest assured, the CAT Card will not eliminate the truck searches. I am credentialed and still get treated poorly at certain facilities.
