Does anyone actually or is anyone of you really actively involved in doing something about it?

I'm not. I gave up years ago. I found it a better use of my time to do something where I can actually see an out come.
Although we did write our letters to FMCSA about HOS. That turned into another waste of time as we have seen in the new rule that no one listened.

What do you consider "doing anything" ???

Memberships in organizations that are involved? Giving money and or support to groups or candidates that have ideals that you believe in? Running for local office? How about joining a militia or other like group like the Minutemen or maybe going to work for a Company that hires "military contractors" like the old "Blackwater"...or maybe making calls sending faxes, e-mails to the pita's in elected office??? Or as was already pointed out..Voting???

So what do you consider "doing"??...

Nope...The DHS could declare me a trouble maker and revoke my status and deport me...I don't trust them..call me paranoid..

There's probably some of us here that "do more than a little something" but we don't talk about it because we don't like to toot our own horns......we don't even LIKE OTHERS that toot their own horns (you know who you are).

Well, voting is largely irrelevant, by design. It's a rare situation when the PTB don't invalidate the import of an election. We have the opportunity in 2012 to upset that apple cart and make some real change happen, if the GOP can't help it.

Other than voting, anything else that would make a difference is illegal. As you say, you'd do something but you could be deported. If Americans do something to change anything, now we can quasi-legally be disappeared. So there you go. Had Dr. Paul been elected last time around, this wouldn't be the case, and we also wouldn't have had bailouts and fascism like we have now.

Going to let another opportunity, probably our last, slip from our grasp again? Probably.

I vote. I support local candidates that I KNOW and that agree with my beliefs. There is not much else I can do in politics. I am on the road 4-6 weeks at a pop and there is absolutely NO ONE that I want to support running at the Federal level from the State of Michigan or for president. I always vote against someone, never for a candidate. Looks like that will happen again in the primary in Michigan and the general election.

Party has nothing to do with it. Just a pack of losers spouting off about the things that they will never end up doing.
