I use pcMiler and I believe most carriers use it also. But some carriers, mine included will use a variety of mileage calculations, depending on the customer, but I find most of my loads jibe with pcMiler "practical" routing.

I've been thinking about getting it, but we currently use Streets & Trips with it set to prioritize interstates. It works pretty good for getting mileage.

It's very expensive, especially for an individual or small company. I got mine for... um, yeah, it's very expensive and it also costs a lot of money.

CoPilot – CoPilot - CoPilot – CoPilot - CoPilot – CoPilot - CoPilot – CoPilot - CoPilot – CoPilot - CoPilot – CoPilot - CoPilot – CoPilot - CoPilot – CoPilot .....

With CoPilot you can even quote what you want to be paid for on a load as it calculates the route.

I have a Garmin program loaded in my laptop, it works fine if you are in a CV, it is NOT a Truck program....I also have a Rand MvNally 510 set to truck routes and I have a GPS in my QC...and google earth...I can tell you for the most part, none of them will match each other...

LOL, with 3 different GPS's and Google earth/maps, most of the time, none of them will be what dispatch sent....close, but not too often exactly...

Cool! I'm buying CoPilot and setting it for $3.00/mile. I'm also buying a new cargo van and a boat or something with my new found wealth.

Ive been using Google MAPS and the Navigation program that came FREE on my phone, Ive got the same program on my TABLET and its 99% right, its not a truck navigation program but its directions have been great, ive only had one issue where it attempted to send me down a NO TRUCK route. The TELENAV GPS program works great too, again Free on my Phone downloaded from Google, I did buy the Updated version for a 2.99 fee and between the two I can find most places. If I need a estimate for mileage I go to OOIDA and use the PRO MILES Feature again FREE....

I use Street Atlas, by DeLorme ... the 2007 version. Yea, it has few roads missing, but I truly love the format of it. The "new and improved" versions have default colors I do NOT like.

And I let the Rand McNally GPS guide me on the local streets since it has updated info.

I like the ability on the DeLorme laptop display to simply click a road and set it as a via ... also when programming stops, it shows the mileage to the next stop AND to the destination both.
