The "wildlife" appears to be a CCW permit holder ... that will be going away.

Unemployment IS earned. Eligibility requires sufficient work history, loss of employment through no fault of one's own, and other restrictions imposed by the state, such as verifiable job search, or educational endeavors. It amounts to about half what one was earning, which barely puts food on the table & keeps the lights on - there's not a penny left for enjoyment, trust me. Been there, done that, & couldn't afford the t shirt.
It is NOT a handout for people who "don't want to work".
It IS a lightning rod for people who find it easy to look down on the less fortunate, and insist they "should be" doing something other than what they're doing. [Which, of course, the 'wise' guys really don't know the first thing about.]

The 25 weeks of unemployment compensation from the State is earned, but the extended additional 48 weeks of Federal unemployment benefits is not.

That is correct. The "extended" "unemployment" amounts to nothing more than the establishment of yet ANOTHER federally mandated welfare (redistribution) program, of which, I contend, we have too many of already. It is my contention that it is the very programs set up to "help" the poor, that are one of the biggest reason they REMAIN poor.

Welfare, as we have it today, increases the chances of people becoming dependent on handouts. Some would say that is unintentional, I contend it is the intended goal, and it IS working well.

Um, if one has to qualify for State benefits in order to get Federal benefits, and State benefits must be earned, ergo, Federal benefits are also earned.
I always wanted to use the word 'ergo' in something, lol.
