regarding the checkINN card...

We were in San Antonio, Tx Saturday and tried getting a room.
The motel 6 that was normally $40/night was quoting a price of $89! It was a big city-wide festival, and almost no rooms were available anywhere...I called the checkINN 800# and they were sooo helpful. Even though I had to hold for a while, they were willing to go to work for me to find a hotel with truck parking and wi-fi but also grab anything they could find that had a room, period. They charge a $4.95 fee to do this, but in the end we grabbed the last room at the motel 6, and I called to let them know- they weren't having any luck either- but didn't charge me for their time.
My dad has used them and paid $55 for a $110 room and once got the last available room at a hotel- a three room suite- for $35.

I cannot speak any more highly of their customer service.

KOA also offers helpfull discounts with their Value Card. Plus for A and B units, for a tent site with water and electric its 20$ a night. They also provide bathroom, shower, laundry, swimming pool.
