I recently watched this show and thought it was interesting and great entertainment.

What isn't there to like about a "dive" that serves amazing food? lol!

On a recent trip I happened upon a "truck stop" that was featured on the show. The service was average - the food? Amazing.

Check it out here:

I watch that show often, and take note of the places that are near locations I'm liable to be. I've been to probably twenty or more places that have been featured on the show now. There's a Jamaican place at the Farmer's Market in Nashville that's awesome. Truly authentic.

J.J. McBrewsters on the SW side of Lexington is great, as is the famous local landmark, The Parkette Drive-In, on the SE side on New Circle. Can't miss it. Over in Versailles is Wallace Station, in the old train station. Very unique sandwiches, everything made from scratch.

There's the Salt Lick about 20 miles SW of Austin,TX that has the best barbecued anything you can think of. The ribs are slap-yo-mama good. It's out in the boonies, but is so crowded they have Texas Rangers directing traffic.

On the north side of San Antonio there is the Magnolia Pancake House. OMG. And just a mile or two north of downtown is a very unique sandwich shop that is literally sandwiched in between a car wash and a laundromat, all in the same building, all owned and operated by the same couple. It's called The Cove.

These are just a few of the places I've been to, all more than once. Tons more on the list I haven't been to, yet.

Seen a couple of places shown that are my favorite places to eat: Marietta Diner, Marietta Georgia and Metro Diner Jacksonville Beach Florida. After eating there "standby for heavy rolls!"
