remember when I started to drive in 60"s gas was $.25 diesel was >.15 to .20 a gal
then it went up to .30 to .50 a gal $2.00 you could get a lot of gas
The first time I bought gasoline it was 27.9 a gallon. You could say give me a dollars worth, because a lot of stations were not self serve, and you'd get enough gasoline to drive a while. I think diesel was about 15 cents a gallon then but didn't pay too much attention.
