Everything in the Bible that's meant to be literally true is literally true. However, the Bible, in addition to being scripture, is also literature, and as such, makes use of literary devices such as allegory, metaphor, hyperbole, etc. Determining which is literal and which is metaphor is, indeed, at issue.
I used to think that the Genesis creation accounts were literal, but I'm not sure now because Genesis uses language known to sometimes be used metaphorically. But if it's meant to be a literal account, then it is.
That's incorrect. There was a time when it was thought that the sun and all the celestial bodies revolved around the Earth. That thought was wrong. That the Earth revolves around the sun was a fact, even though man wasn't yet aware of it. That's why we use adjectives like demonstrable or provable when applicable to distinguish what is merely true from what can be proven true in, say, a court of law.
Again, not true. Perhaps had you been following similar threads for the last couple years, you'd be better informed. I am on record here, repeatedly, saying that I am against using the force of law to find out what people are doing with their genitals, as long as it doesn't involve assault. I'm also on record here saying that sodomites have as much right to peaceably walk down the street as a normal person. I'm also on record here as supporting precisely equal marriage rights for sodomites: they, being unmarried adults have the same right as anyone else to enter into a marriage contract with another unmarried adult of the opposite sex as a normal person.
I'm in favor of privacy rights in general, and I don't think sodomites realize how many of their perceived problems would evaporate if they kept their private lives, private.
Are you so fond of errors in statement of fact that all your previous errors don't satisfy you? You have to keep going and you saved the biggest whoppers for last.
Nothing and nobody existed before God created everything you know. You're just to prideful to admit it. If you don't believe it, wait until His Son is your judge.
