I had a post written which basically just listed all companies, sorted by experience required to work for them. The post is now deleted with no PM, e-mail, or other explanation (yes, I checked my e-mail spam folder). I do not know if this was in error, or due to a policy violation of these boards. Could anyone please explain what the deal is?

I have no intent on breaking any rules, I just did not realize what I had posted was against those rules if it was. I do apologize, but please let me know that that is what happened and why so I do not repeat my mistake.

Alright, I understand now. Please don't be too harsh with me, I am new to all of this. We all make mistakes.

You can feel free to delete this post as it serves no real purpose than to confuse those who did not see the original post.

I am a newb, hense me not posting outside of this section lol.

I am trying to get into trucking. Apparently, there is a difference between 'OTR' and expedited services. I didn't know this. I am just some guy who is interested in getting his CDL. I just feel like I have the natural ability to drive big trucks and would like to put this talent to good use.

I am looking for a company (doesn't have to be OTR, or expedited, or anything fancy, just any company) that will train me for my CDL for free if I stay with them for a certain period of time. Once that year is up, maybe I will do the expediting thing? IDK.

The FedEx Custom Critical one sounds really appealing to me to do as a team with my wife, but she is only 18. I would love nothing more than to do some trucking as a team with my wife for a while. I think we'd be a great team :D. Oh well, guess time will only permit. We met on the internet, so we have spent plenty of time away from each other. Working in a small space together would work out just fine for us.

For what it's worth, I bookmarked this thread to send to an unemployed young man, only to find that it's gone. Yes, it was off-topic. But it was darned useful, too. I've never seen the info collected in one place like that, minus all the ripoff driving school ads.

If you'd like the list, I am going to be completing it in a spreadsheet and would be willing to send it to you. I don't think I will provide the information on this forum though, as even if done right I believe the forum admins see it as a no-no. If you update it to add more companies please send me any updates as I am in need of this info as well.

If your looking for OTR or Expediting Companies, pick up a copy of "Independent Contractor" at most any Truck Stop and look in the back couple of pages.

I have no issue if a mod or admin makes the decision that a post needs to be deleted on their decision. BUT, it only takes a simpl PM to the original poster as to way at the same time the post is deleted and not after when it is brought to the attention of the board members. It is just a simple respect thing to the original poster and should be done each time.

As for this post, While it didn't help me at this time, it might have down the road. And being a new poster, if it would have been brought to the original posters attention, i'd be willing to bet that he would have been more then happy to do the research on Expediting companies also.

As was pointed out, I'd bet it was the none listing of those that pay for ads here.

cd, kamel was told as you can see from above. you are right in surmising the companies do not advertise here. they are in the many periodicals available at any truckstop.
