Dealing with rush hour traffic!

So, how do you deal with rush hour traffic? Do you hate it like most, or do you find a way to "enjoy" it? You know the story:

You're on a hot run that the customer wanted yesterday. Not your fault that the product wasn't ready when it was supposed to be. So after hours of patiently waiting you're finally loaded and on your way. You know you will have to forego the luxury of stopping along the way so you bust your buns to try and make up time, that's part of the dedication we expediters have in our blood. We're all here to quickly service the customer!

Well you get to within sight of your delivery ,feeling quite proud of the time you've made up. You're just hundreds of yards away from where your run ends only to run into "Rush Hour Traffic". Now I know what you are thinking, but wait, I speaking of a different kind here. Between you and the location you need to off-load at is blocked by a steady line of slow moving traffic, and you can't get through until the last one has cleared. Your contact at the receiver is wondering whats taking so long and all you can say is "I'm stuck in rush hour traffic"! Finally, after the last jet has intered or left (yes it was two way traffic) the same area you need to get to you arrive at the end of your run.

I could say sitting in rush hour traffic is upsetting, but for us it can be fun, as I for one enjoy seeing all of the different jets from around the world from a front row seat! Not bad for one that used to be so negative in his prior job! You'll have to forgive the smashed lovebugs on the windshield! LOL

Looking at the second photo below, it appears that I will have to drive under the wing of the jet that just parked.

We do haul quite a bit of other GE engines and parts along with P&W, RR, etc. The biggest engines that we've hauled to date are the JT-9s.
