No one pays for dh home. My guess is that they'll pay dh to p/u, and dh to the freight zone of their choice.

It Means they Pay you IF DISPATCH TELLS YOU THEY WILL PAY YOU!!If they just say you might be better off to Move from Point A to Point B its on your dime. They will play the word Game with you and you lose.

I just "googled" and I found Crete and CREngland both offering as much as .81 cents for DISPATCHED DEADHAED. I will admit it was always mentioned as a DISPATCHED mileage. Which bring up another question I have . Scenario

Trip with Load 600 Miles
Pick up Second Dispatched Load 75 Mile
Would most Companies pay for the first 100 miles as you are enroute to pick-up the Load. If yes then is this considered Loaded Mile or Deadhead Mile for the purpose of CPM.

Bigdiesel... most companies pay dh like that already. The .10 after the first 100 mi is nonsense. Panther pays .50 after the first 100 to p/u a load. When I read your first post, I thought you meant all dh miles. Most companies give a 50 or 100 mi cushion where you eat that first 50 or 100. That's what they need to get rid of.
Mugg... yes, most OTR companies give a set rate for all miles, or something like $1.15 loaded/ .85 dh, for example. But they're for semis, and they don't usually deal expedite. Some expedite companies give a set rate for all dh miles, but that's strictly for semis.

That still works for dh for relocation after a drop, or if it's just dead. I know some companies will relocate you after you've sat for 24 hours. But most of the smaller ones say you're on your own after they send you out of the freight zone. I think that is bs, but every company has its downside in one form or another.
