Dangers of Posting Selfies to the Internet

There are reasons the military doesn't want soldiers taking pictures with their cell phones and then posting them to the Internet. One of them is the geotag found in the EXIF of the pictures.

In what may be the most clear-cut example of a selfie photobomb, an ISIS soldier, standing in front of an ISIS headquarters, took a selfie and posted it to the Internet. 22 hours later three GPS-guided JDAM bombs took out the command center.

Of course, if ISIS is smart, and they sometimes are, they will now find targets they want to bomb, stand in front of them and take a selfie, and let the US military bomb it for them. <snort>
