CVSA’s Operation Safe Driver set for Oct. 16-22

You may see extra law enforcement out on the highway in mid-October.

The annual Operation Safe Driver campaign put on by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance focuses on trucks and also on four-wheelers driving dangerously around trucks.

The selective traffic enforcement program emphasizes enforcement in high-crash corridors with high traffic volumes, moving violations, driver infractions and aggressive driving behaviors.

The enforcement campaign will begin Sunday, Oct. 16, and continue through Saturday, Oct. 22.

I thought this already started with the number of cops pulling trucks over in Indiana and Michigan.

CVSA has on the its web site a news video about Operation Safe Drvier. I think it is wonderful how CVSA is using its resources to enhance the image of truck drivers in the public mind (NOT).
