Can you imagine if Paul gets to repeal the GCA of '68 what that would do?

No current laws will be repealed. The congress will not do that.

It would be nice if the congress would remove 100% of all Federal gun restrictions. The Feds have no business controlling guns.

Actually, I wasn't promoting Dr. Paul there, I was warning about Romney. Think of all the gun restrictions he believes in.

Other than that, it's not at all out of the question that a reasonable Congress would repeal some gun laws. No, GCA68 won't be among them, but they did repeal the Ugly Gun Ban, and they did pass FOPA to protect against end runs around the BoR. So don't be so quick to write off repeal of some gun control.

What makes you think that there will be a reasonable congress? I don't see it being all that different than the one we have now. A congress that believes in the Constitution would remove all federal gun laws.

I am well aware of Romney and his Obama style anti-gun views. Romney sucks.

Indeed, but as in the past, every once in a while, we get a congress that sucks a little less than usual, and some good things happen. When that occurs, we need a guy in the WH ready to sign things. Generally, you've got to have both at the same time.

Mr. Paul would sign most repeals of federal gun controls. I don't know if he would want all repealed, although he should. Nothing will get through the Senate unless there is a major shift there.

All you need to know about Romney is that he is a white Obama with better hair.

Other than that there isn't a dimes worth of difference between the two on the big issues. hell, Romney is to the LEFT of Obama on who is rich.

And those two idiots will be our choices next Nov.

We are screwed.

There is 21 Democrat and 2 Independent (who caucus with the democrats) seats up this year and only 10 republican ones. It does not look like any of the 10 seats will be lost. So control of the senate will tip with only a 4 seat pickup. You will have to pickup at least four more seats for good measure because you have at least 4 Rino's who can not be trusted to vote with the party.

There is a really good chance the republicans win the senate. There is a fair-good chance they will get a good cushion to cover when the Maine twins, McCain and Gram vote with the dems.

Ain't it the turth..but the current idiot in the WH has simply speeded up the speed that the screws get turned down....and i personally believe that from here on out, it will be full speed ahead no matter which roupis in power, and they only thing that will help us individually in our perssonal dealing with the current state of issues from the politicians is to deal with it/them or their "representative" individually as is needed....sooner or later there will be nasty results in our streets...

It is hard to call. The Republican crew is SO WEAK that Obama very well could win and with all the tag along votes keep the Senate and maybe take back the house.

When's the last time we had a strong GOP field? It was this way for most of the last several election cycles. McCain? Please... Dole? Riiiiight... Even when the GOP held the WH lately, it's been pretty sorry.
