The high cost of oil is affecting our income. Those who can't afford the hard times ahead of us will fall by the wayside. Don't point your finger at anyone, it's the law of the jungle.

Shutdowns, strikes, OOIDA, complaining on public forums and whistling past the graveyard won't work.

Having more powerful lobbyists than the oil interests with unlimited expense accounts WILL WORK.

Individual owner-operators have trucks and tool kits and road atlases and such. They do not have powerful lobbyists. Owner-operator associations may have lobbyists, but even if every owner-operator on the road joined, the lobby budget and power would not match those of the oil interests.

As voters and activists, we have a degree of influence in Washnigton. In our businesses, we have full control. What will work even better than having lobbyists in Washington is to focus on the things you can control. View your items of revenue and expense as the herd and cull it every day.

Also in the herd are the things that run through your mind. Put your mental and emotional energy into things that will move you ahead. Keep the barn clean. Cull out the thoughts, opinions and views that no longer serve your best interests. Ol' Bessy may have been the prize of your herd in better days, and you may be very attached to her. But the best choice today may be to send her to slauter. Opinions formed in prior days may not be serving you well today.

The major Oil Co's. of this country are fully aware that literally every thing in our country moves by Truck & Train and they will not give up a new record profit every quarter, even though it would clearly be a benefit to our country.

Of course Turtle, you got it all wrong, see every day Bush and Cheny have a meeting where they decide at what price to set the world oil and have someone at the compute make those changes to the markets. It appears that the prices go up or down on different bits of news and are market driven but only a few know about that morning meeting....

And of course you know that there is a connection between Bush and aliens living in Mexico who are from Jupiter's Moon Europa's dark side. See they will invade us in force in 2012 and take all of our cats back to Jupiter's Moon Europa but before they do that, they want to condition us to life after post invasion so they produced Independence Day and had something to do with MIB MIBII which has nothing to do with cats, aliens from Jupiter's Moon Europa or Bush (even though Bill Pullman may make a better president than Hillary or Obama - he has more experience). Even though the movies were good and they made a lot of money for the aliens, their message was off base by a mile, like as much as Brittany Spears playing Blanche DuBois or Linsday Lohan having problems playing the part of a drug crazed rich girl who follows Charles Manson.... eh never mind the last example, she would be perfect. It all fits together with Bush preventing the border from being guarded because he actually is one of the aliens.
