We receive a load offer today that left us both laughing! The run was a total of 38 miles paying a gross of $17.40. Yes, you heard me right! It was a B rate load being offered to an ER-unit. I'm sure it was just a typo, if not I really feel for the van rates! LOL

Wowwww, 46cpm for the run. Maybe that was just the fsc or maybe it was supposed to be $174.00 and they left a zero off.

At least you've got a run. I've been sittin here on the Akron/Cleveland board since Wednesday and on first out (not a manual) since yesterday. And the board does 14 loads a day. Must be a dirty April fool's joke. Last week I was busier than heck. This week they are refusing to call me. I think my phone will ring sometime. Well, they've got until around noon because I have a flight to catch tomorrow going to Florida so I can bring my car back up north. Oh Well!

Congradulations whole heartedly.
Finaly some one has had the Stature to tell it like it realy is out here. Give the team from FedEX a Double salute for it. I can see they are from Ocala Florida and tell it like it is in a very nice way. I can see the use of Kit Gloves Political stature In Killing the issue with Kindness. Outstanding Job to ya.

That had to have been a typo. I've done some of those short things for some decent money before. I had one in Dallas that only went 15 miles and I got it for $200.

after a conversation i had with this team,it was a driver helper pro,no truck needed, load needed two men to load it and only a man and wife showed up,so Gary was asked to help load, they did get more than the 17 dollars, long story involved,he will tell the rest of the story

craziest load offer? well I took it, it wasn't an offer after that -

700 miles to pick up, take the item 300 feet off the FedEx property to the delivery. Got paid for my trip there and back at 1.25 all miles.

Oh what made it crazy was the fact that I later found out that there was a team passing through before I was offered the load who refused it, they could have made good money for the 15 minutes work it took to pick it up and drop it off.

My craziest load was a few years ago.picked up load of radio active dirt, in a 5 gallon pale. temperature controlled and had to be kept at 40 degrees.Picked it up in West Mifflin Pa and took it to southern fla to nuclear plant.DDPS,exclusive use,and it could have been put in a CR unit, except customer ordered a tactor trailer.Believe me,it paid enough money to deliver it and dead head home if i wished.
My co-driver and I went to Daytona for speed weeks, but, as we walked back to the truck after pole qualifying,we were loaded out of Orlando.Go figure

Panther pays a flat rate of $99 dollars plus FSC. for loads under a 100 miles.
If I told you what a mini load paid our tractor trailers you would call me a liar, but I think waht you are refering to is Gary's helper pro,and that isnt the same as a load.

This is one of the loads we really like. 5lbs confirmed weekend load 1.43 all miles. This is what makes the QualComm fun to look at when you hear a beep!

I know that Fedex's book rate for an E unit mini right now is 1100 and change. I can do the math. I've watched their website and seem the rates for C and D units fluctuate up and down a bit.

Once again, it's supply and demand.

As Steve said, here's the rest of the story:
The load came back about 30 minutes later with the corrected gross pay amount. The origanal amount was the FSC that had been put in the total pay amount. For the less than $200 the load paid to help another team load their trailer, we are left wondering now if we should have turned it down. It resulted in one of us not being able to work until Monday now. Theres a lot of lost potentual revenue we could have been making in our own T/T.
