You know, I'd have never thought to picture Phil in tight leather pants, a leather vest, a bunch of gold chains and a guitar until you said that. Thank goodness they're expediters. :p :D

On second thought NO
I posted a thread prior to this one that was sent to the think tank..
Leo in his infinite wisdom thought it a personal attack...
Poppycock!
If you put yourself out there in blogs and forums you should be subject to ridicule!
But my post wasn't about ridicule it was about truth and reality.
Ironically my post was in good taste with compliments to Diane.
But I digress...
We are all in for a reevaluation 0f our station in life and we all will be humble before it is over...
Wishing the best for all of you Ventura druids, droids etc.

Poppycock, maybe so. But the four posts that you made after he deleted your post (that lasted about 1 minute) sealed your fate.DD.

One of the troubles with the online experience is that one is limited, generally speaking, to only the written word.

You can't hear the playful tone of a speakers voice, the inflection of what's being said. Nor can you see the mischievous (but good-natured) look on their face as they hit that "send" button.

You (often) can't tell whether they are being sad, cheerful, bored, naughty, or just plain spiteful. To get past that limitation requires not an insignificant amount of effort - both on the part of writer - and the part of the reader - to understand the actual intention behind the communication. The ability to be understood, and understand another, varies from individual to individual.

Disclaimer: The above comments are my own philosophical thoughts generally speaking based on spending a ton of time online over the years and have nothing whatsoever any specific event that has occurred here or elsewhere - lest someone misunderstand my comments and think I am actually commenting on any particular individuals actions.

A thread was started, then for whatever reason, was deleted without a trace? Not even a placeholder indicating the thread was deleted, and by whom?

Where did the "Code of Conduct" go? Somebody delete that, too?

I have been trying to find it also, without too much luck.So being as how there is not a code of conduct that you can actually read,I guess the code of conduct is whatever the powers that be say's it is.DD.

This thread was started as recognition of ATeam being the topic of an article in a trucking newspaper. It has been hijacked into a discussion of the EO code of conduct. Each is a good topic but let's get back on the topic of Coco's thread.

The article to which she referred has excellent tax advise regarding per diem deductions authorized by the IRS. It can be found here:

Nice article ATeam. I liked the fact that the article focused on different situations in trucking. Expediters included.:)

As RLent said, one does not know just by words.

Mike (mrgoodtude) has posted a great deal to this forum. A majority of which have been very positive, entertaining (at times) and has provided a great deal of information. He also can be quite sarcastic (been around him to dang long), but he's genuine and honest.

His post that was made was not putting down the A Team, but rather commending them. Unfortunately, the words he chose were misconstrued by a Mod and thus, removed. In return, he was very upset and made a post (several of the same in a row) and sent a personal message to that Mod which banned him from the site.

I rarely post on here, but I do read up on what is going on. I have also noticed that some of the moderators appear to be biased and "stuck on themselves." Just my humble opinion.

Mike has great respect for the A Team and their accomplishments. While Phil may be pompous, arrogant and all about himself, he does contribute some very good information on this forum. One must learn to read between the lines.

Mike is down with the flu as I write this and hopefully he will feel better tomorrow.
