CON-WAY NOW ? OR CON- JOB

Is every job at cwnow going to be a discount load ?.when you want to go home after being out 6-8 week's do they get you a load going home or the other way ?.Is there open door open or shut?.Will they ever find loads in ar.? Or do you just dead head to Chicago to get on line? Why are THESE LOADS only paying 1.07. When other company's get 1.30 plus for the same load.any one else out ther getting a con job? let me hear from you thank's

I know nothing about Conway, I have never worked there. But I figure all of these companies are like we guys were on prom night with our dates. They will say anything, do anything to get you to agree to do what they want. Then when its over they forget your name. }> There isn't a dimes worth of difference between any of them. From the time you sign on you are at the disadvantage, basicly working for them while paying our own way. (Gee, am I sounding cynical in my old age?)

I left ConwayNow because of the deadhead miles. I agree, that if you go west of Chicago with them, you almost always needed to come back to Chicago for the next load. They had many runs from Ohare Field area to Rochester, MN and had no loads out of Rochester or Minneapolis.
I did enjoy their open door policy, and I found the dispatch group a nice bunch of people.

I ran for them a while back ago for about a year. The chairman (Ed Conaway) would get on the Qualcomm and send everyone little "Weenie-grams" begging you to stay in service all the time, and in turn for it they wouldn't get you any freight to run so you sat around in Pigsknuckle, Arkansas in service going broke and sweating.
(At least I'm honest) :)
--Oh, and if you REALLY needed something to do, they would send you for a drug screen to waste away a day--
