Con-Way drivers and the fsc

Just wondering how Con-Way drivers are dealing with the new fsc rates? Seems to me that they are pocketing the "extra." Haven't heard anything since the original postings but it looks like a formula to en-richen the company coffers!

I made so much more money under the new system that I retired. I'm at home now.

No, really, it's not a big difference for straight trucks under the new system, but the vans are probably hating it because their cut in fsc pay was much more significant than for straight trucks.

Seems to me that with every load paying the same, the loads to turn down now are the ones going out of the freight zones - can't afford to deadhead very far, hoping it will even out with a high paying load. I know I'm making less money the last few months, but I'll hang in & see how it goes when it's busy again. Much as I love the job, (usually), I can't justify the time away if I'm not making decent money.:'(

Yeah guys .. Question one why is this in the newbees.. and i have ran the numbers for the first month of this system ..at first glance it would seem that last year I only paid anywhere from 31% of my fuel to 52% jan06 I paid 63% of my fuel go to conways page where they post there public corprate info... they state that fuel is critical to there profit ptential ..they make no bones about the fact that they make profit off fuel surcharge hellooooo cheri :9
