company negativity

I can't believe there is this much negativity about the companies you are contractors for.
You don't work for them, but you are in partnership.
Which ever company your with,being it JB Hunt,or Pantherii or FED EX C C,yes you are a private contractor,but you are in a partnership with that company.
They get you the freight,you deliver the loads,and if your not happy, then go some where else,or talk to the people that matter in the company.
Personally,I'm not happy with our new pay plan, but I don't like change,so I will see how it works, but before I bad mouth FED EX CC
I will find something else to do.
I've only been reading this forum for a short time,but if I want to hear,all these complaints,I can turn my CB on,in any truck stop, granted this is a place to get off your chest what your thinking,but instead of the negativity,try being positive,and post the things you feel might help that company.
Be positive,it's a better way of life,

well truthfully it seems some people are not happy unless they complain about something and some people can't ever be happy because of their attitude. I think the latest round of post about panther proved both.

I may complain about some thngs, but I will not jump ship because of one or two things I find wrong with FedEx. As I told someone who wanted me to go to their company - local - I am overall happy with FedEx and want them to be a sucess because I will benefit from it in the long run.

Studies have found that if someone has a positive experience they will tell up to 5 people about it and if they have a negative experience they will complain to up to 13 people about it. That pretty much applies everywhere it seems. I guess that's why we see more complaints than compliments to companies on the forum.

I think it's because ppl tend to take the negative aspects personally. I look at pantherii to be a perfect example. He defended his company to the hilt till they merged. Now he feels like he's been given the shaft, and wants everyone to know it. But to his credit, he posted the good about them too.

I'm a firm believer in telling the whole story. If you have a bad experience, post it. But also tell the good you get from your carrier.

I agree. Some are just campaign complainers. If they spent as much time looking for a solution as they do complaining they would be much more successful.

I agree,just walk over to almost any expeditors in a trk stop and all they do is b---h,I had a swith the other night that I could have done easly by my self but I was 8 miles from home so I asked for the swith. I got 346 miles and the other driver got over 600 mls.I got to the switch 2hrs early cause I didn't stop,I like to try and help the second half out in case they get a little tried and that gives them a little more time if they have to grab a little shut eye,anyway the lady that I meet at the flying hook was tick off at me for being early and then she said that she wasn't going to help with the switch cause it was to heavy.I told her that is ok its only 372lbs I can do it myself but she wounldn't even get out of her van I had to bring the paper work to her.Then when she was signing it all she did was tell me how she hated panther and she wasn't getting any miles.She was ticked off because last week she only did 2100mls...boohoo,by then i just wanted to punch her in her nappie face but cause I'm so sweet I just went home and beat my wife LOL LOL LOL only kidding of corse and hey remember lets all be safe out there...from the world famous panthervanman jim:7 :7 :7 ;-)

I wonder if the drivers who complain about getting "only 2100 miles a week", or the " worse half" of a switch, or another driver getting out ahead of them from the truckstop, realize how much they sound like 4 year olds, complaining that they got a smaller half of the cookie! Other drivers are not the enemy, and the good ones help each other, if possible. The driver mentioned above does not sound like a good one to me.

I have found that if we are around negative people for very long I start feeling down. We try very hard to stay around positive people or people who are trying to solve a problem. Even if things are not really going our way I have still found when you look at the good against the bad you can stay positive and find a way to solve the problem. The more facts you can get the better decision can be made. Sometimes you can get through the problem and sometimes you have to move on. But everything is a learning experience learn from it.

I do want to say that I have meet some great drivers out there. I was at a trk stop once and got a call from my wife who told me after 18yrs at the same company she was laid off that day.I was with a team that was from MI. in the restrant and when the waitress asked want I wanted to eat I said just a soda.The couple that I was in there with knew what happened to my wife and the guy thought that I didn't have or want to spend the money for anything but a soda and was nice enough toask me off to the side if he could buy me something to eat. I had just meet him that day. how great would this job be if everyone had a heart like them!!!!!! Thats just one sample of good people out here. I love meeting people like them,just plain ole nice folks...And remember lets all be careful out there!!!!! Signing off the world famous panthervanman....:7 :7 :7 ;-)
