Common sense and common courtesy

I'm at the truckstop in Romulus. I got here this morning after a delivery nearby. It was a drive till 0100 then get up at 0500 to go the last 20 miles to the delivery point run. When I got here about 0700 I got in the bunk to finish my nap. I got up about 1000 and shortly thereafter hear someone honking air horns repeatedly. Not only are they honking but they are circling the parking lot. I turned on the CB and said "You know, people come here to sleep even in the daytime." No response but another driver said it was someone driving around with a kid on his lap letting the kid blow the horns. That's someone who must have missed both the sense and courtesy lines during incubation and grew up to be a dumb cluck as my granddad used to say.

Leo...that kid was only learning to drive the Michigan(Detroit)way.

Just wait untill he completes the part where he cuts across 3 lanes cutting you and everybody else off. From there on its into full blown Road Rage.

He will make his daddy proud.

Similar things happen in front of Petros, Flying Js where the motor homes park. I would love to take those automatic alarms that have to sound the horn and just run them over with my steers.

Need to be woken up every 15 minutes park out there honk honk. Good for you its locked. Now we all know.

I hear ya there. My van does not make a peep when I push the lock button. I wired it that way. It just flashes the high beams.

However, you and everyone 50 feet away from it will know if someone sets the alarm off. Thankfully that has never happened. (you have to open the door or break a window for it to go off)

The one thing I hate about Flyin J's is their automated shower ready annoncements n a PA that can be heard on the whole parking lot . The wait for a shower isn't that long . They should give drivers that go back to their truck a pager .

They don't even need pagers. Just have it broadcasted on a CB channel. If your not waiting for a shower, turn the radio off

Hey merkurfan.

Did you install your remote locks yourself, or did you alter the factory locks so the horn doesn't honk when you lock the doors. What brand van do you drive?
