Apparently the shooter sent a notebook listing what he was going to do, with diagrams to a professor.

Anyone else think the new pictures of him look like he was trying to go for a Heath Ledger 'Joker' look?

I strongly belive in Doctor / Patient confidentiality BUT, I also want to say there has to be a verry limmited exception for situations like this.
Of corse, our government it hell bent on destroying our rights. Whats to say the magic note book was not a plant to suport yet another invasion of our privacy? Lets look at it, one week after the mass homicide and the notebook magicaly appears.

Kinda like the undammaged drivers lisence of the terrorist pilot found near the rubble at the world trade center where two sky scrapers, two jumbo jets, and 3500 people vaporized. But, magicaly the drivers lisence survives and lands on the sidewalk. Sounds like B.S. propaganda to me.

Reality is that if the shrink had this in hand with all the grizly detail he would have had him picked on an M.H.A. or Mental Hygene arrest, and be detained on a psych floor for anywhere from 3 to 30 days for an evaluation.

They are bringing out the electric Koolaid Dont drink it.

From that article, you got an "destroying our rights" angle to it? Wow. That's impressive.

On an unrelated, related note, I read a week ago that after he had dyed his hair he was telling people that he was the Joker.

Funny, it seems that the ONLY person to really catch on to this guy was the owner of a gun range who did not trust him. What happened to ALL the people around him?

I wonder if that opens the University up to a lawsuit since the psychiatrist would have been able to stop it since privacy laws wouldn't stop him since there was a danger.

Right but if it sat in their mail room for an unreasonably long time someone might decide to blame them.

There is only one person, as far as we know, who is responsible for this. The idea of placing blame on others has got to stop. People are responsible for their own actions. Unless we learn other wise this evil man acted alone and only he bears 100% of the blame and responsibility.

I agree that we are dealing with a lone evil person but the lawsuits have already started. We live in a country where finding someone else to blame and sue is the norm unfortunately. I just have a feeling that some greedy people are going to try and get everyone involved at the defendants table that they can, I was just wondering if the University is now on the list.

I have seen that they have started. Lawyers are doing a lot of damage to this nation when they try to cash in on others pain. One man did this, sue him. No one else, no companies are to blame. Any lawyer who files a suit on this, other than against the shooter, should be disbarred. Any judge that allows it, fired.
