Classified ads

So over the last three weeks I've been looking through the trucks for sale classifieds. I found three trucks that I had some interest in and tried to contact the seller. If there was a phone number, I've tried to call....numerous times....and either got no answer or a machine. If there was an email address, I tried an email. If the ad had neither of those, I used the contact link. Out of three ads, I've heard back from none of them.

If you want to sell the truck, respond to inquiries.
If you don't want to sell the truck, don't list it.
If you've sold the truck, delist it.

Rant over.....back to your normally scheduled programming.

Totally agree! Also, try putting your ad in the right section. If you want a truck, your ad belongs in the "Trucks Wanted" section. If you're looking for a team driver, the ad doesn't belong in the "Solo Driver Wanted" section.

this pops up not as often as it should

Maybe we need a moderator who can edit ads?

Maybe even remove some?

BUT my advice is simple and based on the following ...

It sucks to read an incomplete description and then try to guess what is meant by some dumb abbreviation that the person who posted the ad is writing the ad as if it was a text message.

It also sucks when the description is rather OK and then there is no picture. Pictures matter, even here in a forum, so don't be lazy.

For those selling stuff - PICTURES!

For those who are selling vehicles - PICTURES!

FOR THOSE WHO ARE SELLING ANYTHING

PICTURES

A lot of people do not remove the ad after they are no longer selling, looking for a driver etc. I think that is why you get so many people who do not answer.

I have to agree with greg..... PICTURES no matter what you are selling. Also, another category is what type of engine is in it, and many people just put "diesel". I want to know if it is a Cummins, Cat, or Detroit or whatever, and HP.

My co driver speaks broken English, and has been with me,except for 2 weeks for going on 5 years. In running team for 23 years, this man is the hardest worker and most dependable person I've ever worked with,so the foreign guys may be your best guys to hire.
