Chick fil a wasn't 'touting religion', and neither do most companies, whatever views are held by the CEO, because it can alienate potential customers, which isn't smart business practice. If they accept the risk, that's their prerogative, but most just don't.
I'd have shown my support for the CEO to voice his personal opinion [even though I disagree with it] yesterday, if I had been able to, but I will continue to patronize the place in the future, because I support free speech.
It's the mayors who said the company "wouldn't be welcome" [because of the CEO's views, not because of the company's practices] that ought to be held accountable.
