Fuel is 2.97 at the pilot at exit 16 in KY on I-65! 2.96 at the loves across the street!

If you are subject to IFTA fuel taxes KY is one of the worst states you can buy fuel in, in many cases. There's a thread in the newbies section that discusses fuel taxes and how the price is meaningless. It's the cost that matters. Not picking on you but this is an area that costs many trucks hundreds of dollars extra per year.
Remember when you went nuts at $2.00 diesel, and then just got mad when it went up to $2.50? And now $2.97 is not just cheap fuel, but 4-exclamation-mark cheap.
Something happens in the Gulf or the ever-popular "unrest in the Middle East" and the price of crude goes up, and in a matter of minutes, the price at the pump goes up. Then up some more, then a little more, then more again. Then, whoops, turns out not to be a problem, crude oil drops right back down, but, no, no, no, the adjusted prices can take weeks or months for it to work it's way to the pumps. The price of crude jumps 10%, the price at the pump 20%. The price of crude drops 50%, the price at the pump 25%.
So the next time you look at the price of fuel and think, "Hey, that's not bad!
" or "That's cheap! " just keep in mind that you've been punked by Big Oil.

Everyone increases their fuel prices, Fuel Station puts price of same fuel up to $Z, bonus for them!
It's on the news, fuel prices to decrease by $.03 overnite! Yay!
Go to Fuel Station next morning, they say, 'oh, ours hasn't gone down yet, becuz we bought it at X price, so we can't sell it that low yet, we'd lose money.
Hmm, ok, buh buy, I'll get mine across the street, thanks.

There is no exit 16 on I-65 in Ky. You must be talking about Memphis, In.

I'm guessing you meant 3.18 for diesel?
My nephew called my last night and mentioned fuel was 2.73 on 80 in ILLINOIS!!! That's a hard one to believe since they've usually been higher, because of their IFTA. But our last couple of times thru, they've been as cheap, or cheaper, than Indiana.
Hawk the other day....it was .14 cheaper in S.Beloit then at the J on Grant or Lake station....RV price that is....I was shocked Illionios cheaper then Indiana???
