Charging House Battery

What is a low cost easy method of keeping house battery charged. I don't use much juice with my house battery so currently every few days when i'm on a load i will plug my battery charger (300 watts) into my power inverter, connected to van starting battery, and by the end of my load its charged.
I know this is not the ideal solution and it seams to work fine, but looking for a better, and maybe hands-off way to keep house battery charged. Preferably without a major wiring project or battery switch.

Thanks

I have a postive lead from my main battery to my second battery... with a battery switch to isolate it...but also my honda 2000i is hooked to it also it charges all my batteries when it is running...

A battery isolater is the best way. That way it gets charged as you drive. But you will have some wiring. It is not real major.

It's just a big diode with a heatsink on it inline with the positive lead going to your house batt. most RV places sell them. Doesn't cost A whole lot.

The diode hooks in the positive wire from the truck batt or alt so it will charge house batt while engine is running.
