In what way(s) is running local harder than running over-the-road?

When I worked for Ceva (Then EGL), msot of the time youhad to find your own freight on the dock and load your own truck. Most loads were hand unloads and then you had to deal with city traffic as majority if not all laods were local deliveries. I remember coming home many a day just worn out.

Congrats on the 9 years.
9 years without dragging up says good things about you and Ceva.
Ive hauled alot of Ceva freight and never had 1 proplem with their docks. Allways have been glad to see their name on the load profiles.
I only know of one person that has a truck over there and he states out of 3 trucks the one @ Ceva is doing the best.

I started driving running local years ago before over the road and if I had a chance to run local again (I would need good pay) I would be there in a heart beat. Home every night sleeping in my own bed beats the hell out of sleeping on the road after 20 plus years and over 2 million miles
