Has anyone ever done the twin to single turbo conversion on a CAT C-15? Wondering if it's really worth it.

I have heard that turning them back into 6NZ's makes all the difference in the world if you spend the money and do the complete conversion !!!

The best conversion is from Cat to Cummins or DD. Good luck with whatever you do.

I had a 6NZ in my 10 wheeler. The power was unstoppable. It was awesome. I had so much fun driving that truck, especially through the mountains. The pull that engine had was amazing, loaded or empty.Nothing slowed it down. It's one of the highest sought after Cat engines out there. Although gearing has much to do with it, I once had it up to 130, on the gps, and it still was pulling like crazy coming out of El Paso on I-10..Now, for fuel mileage, that was a different story.....lol...

Mine has been tuned by the Diesel doctor in effingham it seems to have that unstopable power goes up the mountains with heavy loads without having to downshift and great acceleration or throttle response also gave me alot better fuel mileage its a 10 wheeler also. I get better than 12 1/2 at 60mph about 12 at 65 and starts dropping considerably after that these milages were checked on straight flat roads not mountains. Just wondering what that kit they sell to convert the twin turbo's overto single would do and if anyone has ever done it.
