It's about time to have my tires changed on my ford e250 , and I would like to know if any of you have any tips you would like to share with the rest of us regarding tire purchases.

Stick with good quality tires. I have had terrific life out of BF Goodrich Commercial TA's. They are not too expensive if you buy them at a wholesale club like BJ's/Costo/etc. Less than $100 each with tax for the last pair I bought.

Over the years on my other trucks I have tried to cheap out and buy the cheapest tire I could only to be unhappy in the long run.

I Have used GoodYear Wrangler Load Range E. I have great success with them.

Go to tirerack.com . They will give you a list of tires along with ratings and reviews with each tire . Don't rely on customer reviews too much though . I have Goodyear 235/80 17 tires on my truck . Some customers rated them poorly on wet roads . I have over 36,000 miles on them and have driven them in rain and snow including across I-64 in Eastern IN during the storm before Christmas that stranded dozens of motorists before the highway was shut down . I've never had better performance with any tire .

I buy Michelin 245/75 16 tires at Costco. I like their pricing policy which is the price shown covers everything out the door. When laying over near a Costco, I frequently get a balance and rotate while Rene' is perusing all the rare and valuable, gotta have stuff in the store. Last fall we picked up a lag bolt at a receiving dock in Canada. A nearby Costco repaired it at no charge.
