Looking for info on mounting generator

This is what I've done. Three removable panels and a short cord to the bumper mounted plug. Powers my heater, AC, my fan and my TV set. It's a 2,000 watt Honeywell inverter generator.

Weighs less then 150#. Not much different then carrying a passenger or if the van had a Diesel engine.

How did you mount it

Used a 2" front receiver hitch with locking pin. Can take it off for car wash or service if needed. Pull the pin and slide it out. Using short cord so I can move the vehicle to get fuel or change positions to keep sun out of my eyes.

I so gotta get my dad to do this to the sprinter im driving. Thats a BA setup!

Edit: Or convince him to let me do it this his sprinter lol

Same idea. It actually works very good. I like your setup. Are you using electric heat?

We dont have espar yet. Electric heaters and electric blanket.
