What is the cargo van average rate per mile under your own authority dealing directly with the shipper?
Shame on you.....You should get $3.00 per mile.
Broker it to a carrier at $2.00 per mile.
He'll pay a van .85 per mile.
You can sit on a barstool and book loads.
The money will flow in so fast you won't know how to spend it fast enough.
And you'll drink top shelf.
And stop talking about Murray that wayYeah, I know......
.....I shouldn't encourage drinking.

I'm a driver (cargo van 2005 e-150) doing loads for one carrier currently. The carrir has provided me with Login credentials for a load board, so I bid my own loads. Now that I have some expereince ,just under a year. How can I make the conversion from driver to the guy ordering top shelf...? Thank YOU! Also, how can I get more loads with carriers? You should get $3.00 per mile.

Have a more appropriate van for starters....I'm a driver (cargo van 2005 e-150) doing loads for one carrier currently. But why settle for a 250, or 2500, of a 3/4 ton when a 1 ton, 350, etc, will be more fitting to do the job being much more durable? You need a 2500 not a 1500 your van is to weak in weight capacity and more then likely to short in length.
