The internet forums can be a fun but dangerous place to interact with people. There are many different personalities and ways that people think mixed together in one big pot. Sometimes there are disagreements between members on the forum that end up in personal attacks. People say things that may or may not be taken in the way the author means it.

Think about it before you attack the next person on this forum or other internet forums. Who is the real person behind the screen that you are attacking? Is this person a loose cannon capable of harming you, or a stable person. Could this person end up retaliating? Afterall, many on this forum post pictures of themselves, their trucks, the pets, and give out much personal information which makes them easy to be found.

Through the years that I've been a member of this forum there has been an increase in both public and private attacks between members including me. Could I be the loose cannon, or is it you. Just because you may have met another member once or twice in person, do you really know their true personality? Do any of us really know who we are messing with when we attack another member on this or any other internet forum?

Posting on a public forum is like driving: there are others who may take offense [whether it was intended or not], and some lack the self control and/or emotional maturity to respond as an adult - particularly when they feel protected by the 'anonymity' of the internet. These are probably the same folks who bypass a long line of vehicles to cut in at the front - something they wouldn't dare do on foot, eh?
We are [mostly] fortunate that here, unlike many sites, we actually get to meet other members - often unexpectedly. Most of those encounters are happy, but if you have reason to think one may not be, then you probably want to omit any details that would identify you, and keep your location unknown as well.
It's a sad but true fact: not everyone is going to agree with [or even like] you - but mature adults can handle it without resorting to childish tactics. Immature 'adults' are everywhere, including here - but I would think they are the minority.
Most of us are better than that.

Of course piper... just imagine them in the back of your truck and you can say whatever you like (offline of course).
