Looking for some more info. here ,as the online research do not show the whole picture .
i was told lately ,about a proposed amendment ,made public by CARB regarding on Hwy older trucks .
looks like we will be OK way beyond 2014 ,"with older trucks needed to buy a permit to enter the golden state."

the only thing i did find ,is a requirement to install DPF - a technology that not available at this time .

DPF has been available for at least 20 years, they are expensive here and only a few companies make them and offer them to the public.

The simple solution is this - don't go to California. There should be a nation wide boycott of California and the our government who is quick to use the commerce clause in other cases failed to make any real efforts in fighting to retain their power on the best example of what the clause was intended to be all about - access to markets for interstate commerce.
