Capital punishment

Warning, graphic news story. The following is a prime example of the need for capital punishment. It is not nearly a severe enough penalty however there's nothing that exceeds it. Anyone who can hear this newscast and still say they are against capital punishment is defective in some way.

If he doesn't get Capital punishment, he will be killed in prison, for sure. What a disgusting person. Also, the girl and her husband that had moved to Texas from Ohio, and beat that little girl to death awhile back....such a cute little girl. It's horrible that people who don't want their kids can't just give them to someone who does! Poor little innocent children. Sometimes when I'm out, I see parents or grandparents talking down to their children, or cussing at them, and I just get so irritated. They don't even realize how blessed they are to have those children, and they just take them for granted. People don't even realize how deeply their words affect them. So sad.

Well Leo if he is guilty he should get at least life without the chance of parole. The thing is everyone deserves a defense attorney and a day before a judge and jury. I'm sorry, but the media isn't that jury. They don't know what's what. They don't know how to process evidence and everything else. The just condemn people which taints the jury pool.

Up here we had a man go on trial for murdering a girl that was a senior in high school. One of his counsins overheard a jury member in a diner say "I don't care what they say in the court room I think he is guilty based on what I saw on tv". I hope this person gets wrongly accused for a little while then those words will haint them. He was found guilty and is now getting another trial. That will cost taxpayers more money.

I bet that guy you are talking about pleads guilty and get a Plea Bargain deal of about 20 years, and then in 5-10 he will be out on parole.

If he's convicted, and the evidence is very strong so he likely will be, I'd be surprised if he lives past 30 days in prison. Inmates have a unique code of justice and heirarchy. He will be one step lower than dog stuff on the bottom of a shoe. For all their crimes and lack of morality in most things when it comes to hurting children they're about as hard nosed as you can get. Based on all the evidence collected, he deserves whatever he gets.

Leo,
In some parts of the country, these guys don't get to be in general population but have a section all to themselves. Many survive to make it to their parole unfortunately.

That's too bad. They shouldn't be discriminated against and kept segregated. Put them in with everyone else where they belong.

Oh believe me, many inmates in the general population want it that way too.

Some survive general population by punking themselves out to the leader of the Aryan Brotherhood if they are white, Black Guerilla Family if they are black, or the Texas Syndicate if they are latino. Then they have all the proctection they need. If they can get to be the girlfriend of one of the higher ups in one of the gangs they will be fine. Might not be fun, but they will survive. In the prison where I worked the leader of the Aryan Brotherhood had about 15-20 "girlfriends". Noboby said anything to them. You don't mess his girlfriends unless you want to be messed with, and it doesn't matter if you knew it was his punk or not you only get one time and then you're through.

In Arkansas they have what is called Protective Custody or PC for short. It is basicly for inmates that have alot of enemies, not just child molesters. They are held in segregation for 23 hours a day. It what used to be called the hole. It not only helps the inmates, ,but it also helps the Correctional Officers. A C.O.'s main 2 jobs is to make sure the inmates stay in the prison and protect the inmates from each other. So if an inmate jumps on another inmate you have to put yourslef in the middle. Trust me I worked in prison long enough to know. One officer in Arkansas got killed because he wouldn't step aside a let one inmate kill another. Had that inmate been transfered or put in PC that officer would still be alive, and his kids would have had their dad raising them not just a single mother.

From the outside looking in it sounds good to let the prisons be like Roman Coliseums, but when you work in the prison and have friends and family that work in the prison you have a different outlook.

We were under staffed with a Lt. and a Sgt plus 5 COs for a housing unit that had 7 barracks of 45 inmates. You had to do 5 shakedowns each per shift. Plus they annoy the crap out of you with stupid requests. We had one barracks file a greivance against us to get the a/c truned off because it was to cold, then file another to get it back on because it was to hot, then another to get it turned back off. So finally we left it off. Then an inmate had a seizure and they tried to blame it on us for them being to hot. There is never a boring day.

Plus our complex had a male unit on one side of the parking lot and a female unit on the other side. I was assigned to the female unit, but worked at least 2 12s a week at the men's unit because they were under staffed and someone called in. So alot of us would work 5 or 6 12s a week and then the state said they didn't have the money to pay us overtime every 2 weeks with our pay check. We got one overtime check every 3 months. If you took a sick day instead of taking one of your sick days they would take some of your overtime and they couldn't figure out why they were under staffed. Go figure.

All I know is I just cant handle anything I hear about children being hurt and abused. It just hurts my heart. 6 moths ago thier was a story about a guy that made a tape with a 3 year old F***ing 3. those storys just make me cry. and millons of babys thrown away in the trash from "doctors" in killing clinics. Thier is a dark cloud over our nation, God bless this Country and Honor every man and woman that has given everything to let us have our freedom! but I belive a judgment is coming, how long can we withstand the complete loss of care for human life and would rather be outraged at loss of polar bear habitat than the millons of unborn and hundreds of thousands abused and neglected children. I have 4 pain in the butt kids, but thier MY kids and I love them with everything in me and I would be sent to prison if someone hurt MY babies!
