Canada, Interesting?!?

I read this article about Canada paying Muslims who have more than one wife welfare payments for the entire 'family' and thought "wow are we losing Canada too?".

I know that there are strong ties with Britain but my God Britain is already lost with their change of attitude form pro-British to pro-Arab and Canada is following down that same path. The next thing you know is that Sharia law will be implemented in Britain and Canada will follow soon after that.

BUT the comment I really love and points to the ignorance of a lost country "Immigration officials said yesterday that polygamous marriages aren't allowed in Canada, but that contradicts the provincial law." The provincial law is Ontario Family Law Act and the amount of money that they get for each wife and kid is $1500ca.

Let's see if I get three more wives plus the one I have now and have 4 kids with each wife, that is $24,000ca a month or $288,000ca a year. Of course knowing Canada, they will also pay for my housing, car, spending money and may even pay for my trip to Mecca or that meeting with others like me in the UK.

Interesting , but how many Muslims are there in Canada ? In India only 13% of the religion are Islamic . Hindus and Buddhists don't practice polygamy . Many trucking publications in Canada have Hindi pages and attornies advertise they speak Hindi . I don't think there is much chance of Islamic rule in Canada . I'm sure our Canadian members have better insight on this . (Some Mormons practice polygamy here but it looks like we won't be under Mormon rule )

I think you missed a point here.

The point I am trying to make is that it starts with a little allowances and then it grows. The UK has taken the insane position of being politically correct and has for the most part forced people to accept the minority's in such a fashion that the government borders on totalitarian means of correcting the behavior of some 'violators'. Last year it was a school girl who was expelled when she refused to learn Arabic in cl**** the year before another girl was brought up on discrimination charges because she wanted to excel in her studies but could not being put into a group who refused to speak english and so on. The latest is the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Rowan Williams spoke out on the issue of the acceptance of Sharia law in Britain, even going so far as to say that there could be a "justice in which people could choose between sharia law and British law in matters of marriage, banking and civil disputes." Now this sounds ok to many but there is something that is missing here, the acceptance of Sharia is not a compromise, it is an all or nothing thing - either you fully accept and integrate it into your laws or you don't. It has happened in The Sudan, Somalia and other places in Africa where the moderates thought that they could control it but lost. This also includes a loss of women's rights, of the use of stoning to punish people for insane infractions like a woman going out with a man who she is not married.

But with what Dr. Williams had said should be a loud warning to other countries because we think that there are a minorities that can be kept in check but look at places like Dearborn or Hamtramak where the citizens fought hard not to allow Call for Pray to take place and lost. We would never think 20 or 30 years ago this would happen in the UK with only 2 million Muslim people living there but it is happening and Canada is following that path because they want to be more liberal with issues than the brits.

We had a provincial govt that cleaned most of this up. They also got into a pis*ing match with the teachers union who made sure they lost the next election. The party that one has a history of "courting the immigrant vote" and likely will never fix this. We just had an election that the welfare cleanup guys lost again because they wanted to support a few private schools (if you send your kid to one they would get your tax money). The shrill that the teachers union created became the ONLY issue of the campaign.

Politics sucks up here too. We have 3 party's, more people can vote against a party and they still win! Yeeeccchhh.
