Can you top this? Loads cancelled

Okay, let's hear it! Can you top this number of loads (runs) cancelled in a two day period for us?
FOUR!
FOUR loads cancelled one right after the other for us all in the same area. For one of them we had not pulled out of the parking lot yet but the other three we were pulling out and/or sitting at the pick up! Do we hold the record for cancelled loads in a short period of time?

Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

I dunno. I had three dry run cancels within 90 minutes.

Had started to roll on every one of them, too.
Easiest deuce and a quarter I ever made. :)

You have us beat all to heck. Never had that many in a row! Hope your luck changes and you start going east towards Louisville!

you know what, dry runs are part of expedite, customer calls an expediter, cause he knows that company will be at his location on time,in case he cant find a regular carrier to take his load,as soon as he makes contact, witht that regular carrier, comes the cancel the load phone call
also another senario, load to be picked up wont be ready for pick up
I cant beat 4 dry runs in one day either, but have tied it,but worst for me was, after dead heading 350 miles to a pick up,i was offered a load to pick up,now how do you get a run offer when your under load, its this way,the load I was going after dry ran,and no one,i say no one let me know of the cancelation,I did everything in my power to have that dispatcher fired, dont know what happened to her,but I got paid for a load i didnt haul

The closest I can come to that is 3 in a row but all 3 were the same shipper. The next day I got a load and actually ran to the cons, from the same shipper as the other 3.

I have had similar situations as Steve described. You think you are enroute to a pickup and a new load offer comes across invariably 150 miles back from where you were. You call or send Q/C meassages and are told "Oh that load cancelled 2 hours ago,but this is a better one" which is it probably isn't. And they wonder why they have turnover.

Or you have expediter wars when the customer calls two or three different carriers for the same load.

Steve you cannt beat city hall and you know you will loose with the company every time.

Best to let it go. Its easyer to beat up the owner operator then the Company

food for thought.

You got that right. Have to be selective.
