Hi Charlie, No you don't have to have a laptop although they sure are nice!! Most of the larger truck stops have computers that you can use, feed the money in like a video game machine, it turns off when your money runs out. Works like a charm!!
Of all the things I've lost in my life, I think I miss my mind the most!!
Most of the larger cities will have an Internet Cafe somewhere.For about $5 you get about 3 hours or so,also you don!t have to use it all up at once.
Another thing I do is too look for a decent Best western Motel,walk in from the side as if you are staying there,the better Motels have a computer in the lobby for customers to use free.If queired just say you are waiting on MR Johnson or your wife,husband to arrive.
