This poster asks if there is a company that will hire a non CDL holder to drive a Sprinter over the road.

My question is...Isn't a CDL required to haul commercial freight from state to state?

DUH! I knew that  I looked up the information and confirmed your responses.
Can I blame my brain freeze on the early hour?

Hi..

Do yourself a BIG favor. Get a CDL B. You will have your pick of carriers. It sounds like you are not totally committed to driving as a career. AND, van freight stinks across the board for everyone. Stay away. Get the B and a good owner.. check his/her references carefully and try it out. But do not do this half assed in this economy. A non CDL driver makes almost no money or at best in my experience 1/3 - 1/2 of the rate of a fully licensed driver.

Good luck
