C.R. on Politicians
makes sense to me.
Drives the spike through the rail road tie dont ya think.
C. R.

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.. ( The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.)

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House?( John Boehner. He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. ) If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to. [The House has passed a budget but the Senate has not approved a budget in over three years. The President's proposed budgets have gotten almost unanimous rejections in the Senate in that time. ]

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ..

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.
Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees... We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

What you do with this article now that you have read it... is up to you.
This might be funny if it weren't so true.
Be sure to read all the way to the end:

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table,
At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for
peanuts anyway!

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ***.

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid...

Put these words
Upon his tomb,
'Taxes drove me
to my doom...'

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

What in the heck happened? Can you spell 'politicians?

Yep....and Obama said last month "we don't have a spending problem, we have a revenue problem". Looks like he wants more of your revenue.

Obama is a blithering idiot. We SHOULD have voted ALL the bums out. It is time to start over.

We definitely need to vote in the way that has at least a chance of removing the Obamas, Reids, Pelosis and others. Hopefully in 2016 people will vote with their brains and not with their feelings. Feelings sure screwed us this time.

Nothing is going to change in 2016. The VAST majority of people are going to pull that "D" or the "R" lever as they have always done. Who is behind that lever does not matter. Each in here can ONLY vote for 2 Senators, ONE congressman and the president. I cannot vote out ANYONE other than those I mentioned above. What it boils down to is this, not happy with the congress? Look in the mirror.

We the People are 100% responsible for the mess we are in. Unless we vote out ALL incumbents and start over, NOTHING is going to change. I therefor submit that nothing is going to change.

Yes, we only get to vote for Congress, President and perhaps Senate. What you didn't mention are the people who throw away their vote by writing in, voting third party or just not voting. It's all the throw aways that need to actually make a meaningful vote against the greater evil.

The president can easily be stopped IF the congress was doing their job. Until we change the congress nothing is going to change. The BIGGEST vote will be in two years. We CAN change the house and 1/3 of the Senate, but we won't.

As to some presidential votes, unless some people moved to another state, there was no difference. AND, if they DID move, it STILL would have made no difference.

The power is in the congress, change it or lose. I contend that few people will change their congressman OR senator, in which case, nothing will change.

It's not who votes....it's who counts the votes. The whole game is rigged, and has been for years.

For instance, who knew this guy out of Chicago? He came from absolutely nowhere to run for president? Realized a long time ago these persons are figure heads only, and there to sign the papers. Think of it like the CEO of company AB or C. That CEO is accountable to whom?

The shareholders of course. It's the money people and shareholders who want the world government, erosion of national sovereignty, and serfdom class run by a ruling oligarchy. Now....if you're actually running things, whom do you place in power?

The CEO who will run the company as you dictate. What do you get out of it, you ask? How about multimillion dollar vacations and a stage in which you can display all of your narcissistic fantasy. It's like any job interviewed for....if you show and prove to be a player within the system (it matters not how corrupt that system is) you get the job.

D and R are two sides of the same coin and are just players on the field. Coaching on the sidelines is the president, and up in the press box? The owner of the team, who is for the most part......far removed from the camera eye.

We HAVE the power to overcome this. We just have to want too. Either it will get done at the ballot box or it will spill into the streets. More and more people are getting fed up.

It will not be done at the ballot box, and as for the streets? That window closed a long time ago.

Do not wish for turning this into a Christian belief thread as there are other venues for expressing those ideas. I do have a question though? When looking out and over these current environs......what do you see much in the way of preserving?

Like you, I love what this country used to represent and perhaps you could comment on the populace behavior in general? For the Christian, there is a time for righteous anger. However, one would find it hard pressed to defend those in this country who have proven time and again they need a taskmaster to show them the way.

The bigger question might then become.....do we deserve freedom?

I don't know about you, I will defend the Constitution. One, because I want too, two, because it is the right thing to do and three, because I have taken an oath to do so on multiple occasions.

YOU blame the Democrats and Obama, But we should blame the Republicans and Bush, OR should we BLAME the Government and those responsible for voting, and passing the worst legislation, Wars, Bridges to nowhere, PORK, Hiding Appropriations in Bills that have nothing to do with them, Attaching Bills, accepting BRIBES, GIFTS or DONATIONS. All the while our country is sold piecemeal to the highest bidder to benefit the few, top 2% and allow the CEO to get Millions in Bonuses while the workers barely can make a house payment, Taxes get raised, added, and then collected only to discover LACK OF FUNDS...Billions in Lottery money thats GONE...General funds that are raided and Education funds spent on Drones, and WAR....AIG wnats to sue us after we saved there A$$, Banks reposess homes because they gambled with your money in an attempt to game the system and PROFIT...and on and on, CORRUPT IS AS CORRUPT DOES..

Yes This country has been served well by its Politicians, so well that the Wolf who raided the Henhouse looks like a Choirboy compared to our GANGSTERS IN GOVERNEMT....and I blame all Partys, Not one is responsible but ALL. and ya its time for a do over, a house cleaning, a douche, and an enema for the hallowed halls of our cherished Governing bodys. End the Lobbys, Term Limits of two terms, PERIOD...They work 300 days a year, cannot vote themselves a pay raise, get bonuses on Performance of duty...Get a vacation of 1 week a year.....and ride public transportation so that people have ready access to them, you cant hide behind the locked doors of the Public office from the very PEOPLE who duly elected you.

I see a failed governenment thats lost touch with its constituents, now were going to put Drones over the skys of America, we have the Patriot act, and the NSA Listens and records every conversation transmitted electronically including this one.....America isnt the country my Dad fought for it to become, Politicians who used to be revered and respected are the most hated people in AMERICA and I wonder why ???

"we have the Patriot act, and the NSA Listens and records every conversation transmitted"

NSA listens to AND records EVERY conversation transmitted? How? There about 2.4 BILLION cell call each day, not to mention land line calls, faxes etc. How many people would it take to listen to EVERY transmission? Why would they even want too? Ever have to monitor phone calls? BORING!

Is government out of control? Without a doubt. Is NSA out of control? Maybe. I, however, am not going to believe for ONE SECOND that NSA can LISTEN to EVERY transmission. Unless we deal with fact, nothing will get fixed. I cannot imagine how many people would be working at Ft. Meade to do that? More than live in NYC.

Yes. But do we have a moral populace? Hardly, and leadership is reflective of populace, and vice versa. It's not grandpa's government, but neither is it grandpa's neighbors.

Much like layoutshooter....count me in back in 1776. Now, would have to question the other 90% I'd be dying for.

History shows the moral decay parallels as empire falls. Much like layoutshooter....count me in back in 1776. Now, would have to question the other 90% I'd be dying for.

Just as before, I don't put my life on the line for the "90%" or to defend the "Nation". My oath was to protect and defend the Constitution. NOTHING else. Once taken an oath stands for life, at least in my book.

Pearl overstated it a bit. Every call, fax, etc. is saved by the gummint. For how long, no one knows. But each one is analyzed for hot words like bomb, president, and a whole bunch of other words.

My posting those two words together means this message will be read by a G-Man whose job it is to evaluate such messages (everybody wave to the nice G-Man) and determine if some terror plot is being planned. If it looks like it is, further action is taken. If not, he moves on to the next. Messages without the words on the list are likely never read unless the individual is already a suspect. This has been common knowledge for--what?--ten years maybe.

How many people work at NSA now? When I was there it was about 30,000. IF 100% of them did NOTHING but listen to phone calls, how many could be covered? Knowing for a FACT that 100% of those who work at NSA don't listen to phone calls, well, that "G-man" must be REALLY busy! Common knowledge? Is that anything like Obama's "common sense"?

I left out an important point. Not every call or message is listened to or read. A computer scans each one for the words on the list. If those words aren't present, chances are no one will listen or read. Only the "suspicious" calls or messages are checked.
