Well I do not know where the mod that placed the comment on my little green box got off.
But based on criteria of how you get a positive comment I have more than posted qualifying posts.
I was going to do this as a private message but I want everyone who was part of this to know that you can put my little green box where the sun doesn’t shine. Take my member status and add it to that place.

Oh....and grow up.

Where are you looking that you recieved something from the Mods? Your only negative rating is from a member who isn't a mod.
Maybe I missed something?

Ej, don't take it personally. I believe these little quips are computer generated and not aimed at you specifically. Much like a fortune cookie.

I see the one bad rating score but that's no surprise. There are no profile comments at all and that's what relates to the green squares. The ratings affect the green stars and both moderators that rated you gave you 5, the highest. You might want to do a little more investigating on this decision.

That is what my point was.

I find it interesting that others find it comical that is another reason I would rather not participate. And I do realize that what one finds hurtful another may be entertained by. I thought we were mature professional that was my first impression I got when I used this site for information before I actually became a member. I actually told a lot of people that had no clue about EO to use it as a resource, which as a web site will work fine but as a place to mingle and find a source of friendship I will be sure to warn accordingly.
I do not know the exact nature of the negative feed back but I know my posting have had more positive than negative as do members that have fewer posts and low rating with a positive comment in the green box category. I am feeling a tinge of discrimination, but again it may just be me. Whatever...

OK the source of the negative feed back was on a joke, hmmm, hope it did not hit to close to home DD, but were those kisses you gave along with it, I am confused. Or as I see in other post it is more of antagonistic in nature that informative of why a negative feed back. Sorry I won’t bite on that. Or maybe I did and you are one of the entertained by ones demise.

You are in good company EJ. DD, as in Dieseldiva, gives just about everyone 'terrible' ratings then she returns here to be with her own kind of folks.

I am new to EO and maybe haven't gotten to the place where I deserve to speak....but I'll take my chances. I sign on here and read the stuff. Then laugh, roll my eyes, fall asleep, etc. Whichever is appropriate. And after I sign off, the only people that matter (as far as their opinion of me) are the 3 that came out of me and the 3 that came out of them. And of course, my honey. But he has to live in the truck with me and is smart enough to choose his words carefully.

Don't let people's opinion(s) get to you that much. Life is too short to get hung up on that. Do your thing. Be honest and be yourself. The rest will happen and there isn't much we can do about it.

Click on the tab above that says User CP to see your personal profile. I will click on the scale type cloud (do not know proper name) and leave you a message so you can see this. This is a form of rating each post by a user. The stars are how you actually rate the user.

Ok, since we're all new to this new forum setup, my guess is was not a rating, nor a profile comment, but a reputation point w/ comment. Possible?

Yes, you're right. When you click on the little cloud looking thing under someone's name (when you mouse over it.. it says add to their reputation).. you have the option to give them a plus or minus 1 on their reputation AND leave them a comment. When the comment was left, the ejtrucker thought that person was a Moderator, when it was actually another member.

This system is designed to help members police themselves. One member cannot drastically affect a reputation by themselves, but several would. I as admin can overide if someone gets crazy..

I have no idea what all the add to reputation and ratings things mean. I clicked on my own and rated myself five stars. Is that legal?

So if anyone sees the five stars under my name, it is just my opinion of myself, which has always been more generous than I deserve.

ps. I just clicked on the reputation symbol. It says I have ten reputation points. How did I get them, and what are they good for?

dc,while rating yourself 5 stars is technically legal,it is in a very gray area.

The ten reputation points means that 10 members know that you did that and gave you a reputation.But given the amount of members that are here on EO,10 is not alot,so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Just be careful,and don't click on anything else.DD.

Thanks DD So ten people know I did that. haha Well I get the impression that points are something I don't want. I feel like a moron here.

Anyways, I was not trying to hide anything as I stated I rated myself. I would not even have done that if I would have known better. Self ratings are not necessarily indicative of reality.

I will be careful what I click on in the future.

How did the ten people know I did that, and how can I see what they thought of it, I am not obsessed with it, just wanting to learn.

I try to treat everyone with respect, and usually don't end up being hated too much. At least until someone gets to know me.
