White Manna Hamburgers, Hackensack, classic sliders for half a century.

White Rose, Linden, from father to son and over 50 years in business, large sliders, "burgers for breakfast" and "the Jersey burger".

Rossi's Bar and Grill, Trenton, 78 years old, originally a speakeasy in the back when opened in 1928. burgers are 12-14 oz. patties still made in the original family kitchen.

Hamburgao, Newark, a Brazilian sandwich that isn't quite a burger but an interesting sandwich.

The Sidetrack Bar & Grill in Ypsilanti, Mi (Depot Town area) got a mention in GC mag a few years ago. Top 20 burgers in America, or something like that. The burgers are incredibly good as are the Reubens. Dang anything in that place is good. Aubreys across the street is a good place too (and they do a really nice pizza if that's what you're in the mood for).

Well I can agree on both of these being really good. I went to Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti so I may have frequented a bar or two in my day.

Ragman,

Being a local, ever try Mason's in Livonia? Simple burgers that are really tasty, especially at 1 am. LOL.

I'm sure all of the place mentioned are great, but after a night of pub crawling, there is nothing like a WHITE CASTLE hamburger (or 6) to finish the night.

White Castle has good breakfast sandwiches. They crack a real egg for the sandwich made to order.

I have been to Masons many times. Great burgers and if I don't say so, some of the best Buffalo wings I have ever had. Love that place.

Just 6? Rookie!

Of course, how can one talk about burgers without mentioning a Halo Burger complete with olives.

Big John's, the only reason to go to Flint.
Yeah, they built a White Castle 7 or 8 years ago.

It may seem a bit bizarre, but it is one of those things ya just got to try.

Life must suck when you don't have taste buds. lol

I want to like green and black eyeballs. I do, but somehow it ain't happening. That must be a good burger joint though, it looks like they don't play around.

I've got one for ya Ragman. Not burgers but not far off topic and it's right in your backyard. The Early Bird Restaurant in Northville, MI. They do a really nice pancakes breakfast.

You're absolutely correct. They do make a really nice pancake breakfast.

I wonder if John Elliott has been there. How about it John?
