Brownsville TX vs Laredo TX

It's getting to the point that I just can't get loads out of Laredo at all anymore without sitting at least a week. I was talking to another driver in Laredo today and he told me when he used to run Sprinters he always deadheaded out of Laredo over to Brownsville and got loaded a lot quicker. Is this true in anyone else's experiences? I was thinking about it and somehow I've never done a pickup or delivery to Brownsville.

There is a Delphi plant down there to get loads out of.

Thanks paullud, I know McAllen is also close and if I'm not mistaken there are a ton of oil and gas companies there.

Whenever I am more than second out in Laredo I will head for McAllen if it puts me first out.

Thanks xiggi, I think that seals it, I'm going to head to either McAllen or Brownsville. Didn't realize Pharr was also close and my dispatch told me that is also a good spot.

There is a nice newly remodeled motel six not far from the j over there. I think it was 45.00 a night booked via the m6 website. Its the one with an Edinburgh address.

Samo story I been reading for years.
Suggestion: For this OP and other geographically challenged "pro drivers" You may wanna turn off the tele for a bit and pick up your atlas and look at it for a while. It will amaze you what you may discover.

Pretty pathetic when ya been at it for three years or better'n still don't know what is close to what. Or, for that matter, three months or less.

Yup, another angry little fella that knows it all. Apparently he also lacks reading comprehension skills since I stated I never did any runs in that area and was unfamiliar with it.

You learn by doing or asking questions, it is cheaper to ask questions.

Dunno about the little part ... but it's a safe bet that you don't know, in terms of a historical context in the expediting industry, who it is you're referring to ...

He's referring to someone who goes to great lengths to sardonically point out people's inexperience and shortcomings, while at the same time rarely offering usable advice to anyone other than those who are already experienced enough to comprehend the convoluted advice he bequeaths upon them.
