The bloodthirsty in me wants the US to bomb the crap out of Iran. The libertarian in me wants us to pour pig blood on the Iranian president next time he comes to spout his venom at a US university.

IF? More like when. They will push until something gives. They are being pushed by their masters. There is little difference between what we have today with Russia, China, North Korea and Iran and what we had when we faced the Axis powers in 1938. We were weak then, we are weak now. The result will be the same unless things soon change. This time, the outcome might not be as good.

BTW, my perception is that you are a relatively sane individual, so I would assume that you would prefer to direct any retaliation (pig's blood included) precisely to those that were specifically involved .... and are the correct target

Yes, but crappola rolls downhill. Ultimately, the president of said offending country is responsible for his country's behavior. And if he gets drenched in cloven-hooved beasty ichor, then those truly responsible would get theirs.
And you have to remember the same people NOT making that claim also didn't make that claim in Fast and Furious. The buck stops with the machismo... or in our case, the one without it.
Well, I'm not positive, but I would imagine it's not the same one that the pig blood mongers are lobbying for.

I like the "timing of this"...barry was briefed in June on this.... personally my take is that this is to take the "heat off holder on "Fast & Furious"...he cut the press conference off as soon as a reporter asked about "Fast & Furious"....

It was an assassination if anything, and why are we responding to it?
It seems that the Sauds themselves need to be involved, maybe we should have sent those two over there to face Muslim justice instead of living good here.
BUT people in the UK and Germany are asking a few legit questions, like who is Holder, what makes us - the US - so concern to escalate any issues with Iran, why are we threatening Iran when they and the Sauds have a little war going on (ever think about that?) and who are we to say about the seriousness of things happening here while we do the same thing in other places.
The best solution is not to treat this as a terror plot - that's plain stupid but look at what actually went on and how to solve it;
Close the Borders
Help Mexico with their problems instead of worrying about NK or Iran
AND stop being stupid.
