Boyd Coddington passes away at 63

Well, a true original, and car building legend passed away Wednesday morning. I had the pleasure of meeting him once, on my first run for Roberts Express back in 93. Was sitting in a rest area and he pulled in in a blue and white 32. I recognized the car as a Hot Rod cover car, and then belatedly realized who the driver was. Very cool guy.

I watched his TV shoe, The American Hot Rod. He made some neats rods. The TV shows now building "custom" cars merely take an Escalade, put some aluminum wheels on it and install a too loud sound system.
