Boston area layover??

Looks like we'll be spending the night in the Boston area. Does anyone know where we can park (40' straight truck) that is truck friendly? we're in a BK parking lot right now that says "no overnight parking". We usually get out of here pretty quickly but you all know the story... I hate laying over up here, no real truckstops nearby and everything else seems really cramped for space.

There's a Walmart at 72 Main St., N. Reading Township. It is not posted and the time I stayed there I talked to a local police officer. There are no local regulations against staying there. As I recall I was there 2 days.

Boston area is a wide area; but if your looking for a safe overnight place Rt. 90 Mass. Pike service area (9 miles west) is where I'd head. If your in town the convention center in South Boston, or the Hynes center on Boyleston St. expect truck parking. South Boston area has transit so you get to tour Boston if you like.

Parking a sprinter at the rest area may be fine but anything larger than that i wouldn't do it. You can't idle in mass remember that and they will ticket you and make you leave the rest area. I lived in New England for 27 years i know about what i speak. On route 1 just south of boston is a truck stop that you can idle in because they were grandfathered when the new law came out. It is 1 of only 2 places in mass that you can idle in. Also unless the law has changed you can not legaly sleep in your truck in mass. No im not kidding when i was a Co driver i told my dispatch that he thought i was lying so i bet him $50.00 so he called the co legal man and called me back to tell me to move to CT where it's legal to sleep in a truck. The only other place is the old truck stop on 20 over by sturbeidge not the pilot but the one up the road. They will leave you alone at the pilot as far as sleeping and idling unless someone complains. And for those that will say i do it all the time great keep it up sooner or later it will cost ya
