For rain repellant, I have found Aquapel to be far superior to Rain-X, although I like Rain-X a lot. Aquapel needs to be applied to ultra-clean windows, but it lasts at least 6 months and leaves no film. Bugs and dirt are washed off a lot easier with Aquapel, too. It takes two applicator packs to do a Sprinter windshield. I coated mine in January and it just now needs a new application.

Amazon.com, usually, as they have the cheapest prices I've found. It can be found on eBay, as well. List price for a single applicator is $9.99, but the best prices are the ones in the $3-$5 per applicator range. Four applicators is enough to do the windshield, side windows and mirrors.

If it's a brand new windshield, just a good cleaning with an ammonia-free cleaner (Invisible Glass, Aquapel Glass Cleaner, Sprayway) is all you need. If the windshield is more than a few months old, a good cleaning with a glass cleaner and a thorough wiping with an Aquapel Pre-Cleaner Towelette makes a big difference in how well the Aquapel Treatment bonds with the glass. One or two towlettes is plenty. If it dries out while you are working with it, just add a little water to the towel and it'll still work.

A good detail trick is to spray down the glass with 90% isoprophyl alcoholl and wipe dry with a soft rag or an old towel gets the glass real clean. Then at least two light coats of Rainex I havent used Aquapell yet but Ill give it a try.

Also add 90% isoprophyl to your regular glass cleaner abbout 10 parts glass cleaner to one part alcoholl it gets through the crud just make sure you wipe it off your painted surfaces. I carry my own window scrubber can get them at Walmart and most parts stores it extends colapses nice the heads are replacable when they get worn out. Best part is I know it wasnt used to clean up a fuel splash.

Prefer winter bades they last longer.
BTW how well do those new style molded blades work Chev. C van flat windshield and an International 4300 with a windshield that is curved at the sides. Do the molded blades work well on Strait trucks or should I stay with old school winter blades?

Picked up some Michelin blades at Wal-Mart a few weeks back, quite nice so far.
(only $8 each!)

I'm really liking these Trico Onyx blades I got at Advance Auto. Expensive, but I think I've finally found some blades that play well and get along with a Sprinter windshield.

Ive tried Trico flex and Trico Force Flex, Michellin, a bunch of other new flex blade designs and found that RainX blades work the best for me and keep working for over a year before they even show signs of needing replacement. For Bug Juice I use Prestone brand with the lipca remover. Its green in color I think (color blind). Ive tried just about every kind of wiper and Bug juice out there. Those two combos work hands down. There may be better but I havnt found them.
