I want others to tell me which truck stops are the best in the country? I really liked Iowa 80 and there's some great mom and pop places. Just wanted to see what everyone else like? I always enjoyed stopping at Detroiter

The TA in Morris, IL off of I 80 exit 112. The restaurant there is called "R Place". It has some of the best food I've ever eaten.

Petro in Sparks, NV, I just spent a few days there. They are an independent Petro so they have a casino, Iron Skillet, Super 8, bar/lounge with over a dozen TV's for sports, and there are Freightliner, Mack and Volvo dealers next to it.

In PA can't remember the town the sheetz is a truck stop and they have great onion rings! We don't have Sheetz gas stations at home but surprised at the great onion rings.

Meijer's. No fuel or showers, but the food is excellent, and you'll never be kept awake by a noisy reefer cycling on & off all night long. ;)

Bosselman-Pilot in Grand Island, Nebraska is pretty cool.

I believe it's either that Bosselman's, or the one in IA, that I had the un-pleasure of eating at. I ordered the buffet, and was told AFTER THE FACT that they charge for refills on pop. What cheapskates!

The Flying J in Waddy Kentucky! I love to sit out there in the parking lot at 3 AM and listen to all of the rednecks reving up their mufflers! You can't beat that!

Have they finished the remodel.on Jubitz? When we were out there earlier this year it was all torn up. On the downside they do not allow van parking there either. Even in the lot by the theater.

I like Jubitz, but the odds of my getting back to the Pacific NW with Load 1 are slim to none, sigh.
Closer to home, I like the food at the London Truckstop in Ky - the fried chicken is excellent, and the desserts and fresh fruits taste as good as they look.

This Petro at Carl's Corner, TX, (35E on the south side, just east of the 35E/35W split), is by far the cleanest truckstop I've ever been in. The showers are very large, and the food at the Iron Skillet is pretty good.

I dont know if it qualifies as the best but Im at Stockmens Truck stop off 494 in South St Paul MN, The food here alone qualifies this place as excellent, great taste, portions, and HOMESTYLE AS Granny can make it...its a throwback to the 50/60s erz even the counter and seating is retro...not much parking 100 or so stalls, but fuel, a c store, FOOD, and easy parking all here....the Peterbilt shop across the street is good and friendly and fast.
