Ben Affleck thinks pay too high

Wonder how many times he has made 200 or more times more than someone working on his set? Who does he think pays his income rich people, he makes money off the average joe just like a bank or ceo he criticizes. Actors should stick to acting and musicians should stick to making music. When most of them open their mouths they prove how little they really understand about the world.

We need to bring back the theater tax and raise it to 20% to show these idiots what it is like to live normal lives.

He is an idiot above idiots with crappy films and poor deliveries. His entire income comes from the fact that we, the little people in his eyes, take money out of our pocket and put it into his for the sole purpose of being entertained.

I never wish more taxes on anyone regardless if I agree with their views or not.

Who is Ben Affleck?
He's a guy who dumped Gwyneth Paltrow for Jennifer Lopez, and then dumped Jennifer Lopez and married Jennifer Garner. Despite the fact that he's a liberal, you gotta give him props for that. :D

He's right about CEO pay, tho. It used to be about 10 times the average worker, now it's out of control.

As for movie stars making too much money, making way more than the people who worked behind the camera, that's apples and oranges, for the most part. Movies are made to make money, and people don't pay money to watch how good a job the gaffer or the key grip did on the lighting, they pay to see the people on the screen and the story in the film. If you don't like that, don't pay to see it.

Download it off the Internet, instead. :D

Benny is missing the biggest point of all - he is part of the same system he is attacking and he is at the bottom of the food chain in that system.

This is another out of touch with reality idiot who thinks he can carry a message that the capitalist system is evil but he does no wrong by promoting (a capitalist trait) a movie about the evils of capitalism. It is the banks which actually make these movies possible, they refuse to put up their fortunes to take a risk and they form corporations to protect themselves from tax liabilities and while they become overpaid CEOs because they produce nothing tangible but rack in millions just like those evil bankers.

Isn't that a bit hypocritical?

The amazing thing is he and most of the industry don't get they are entertainers who do not really follow their own battle cry - the rich should pay their fair share - which I think would be a really good thing for once.

I wonder if he thinks the CEOs of his movie companies make too much money?

Of course not.

Here is a shining example of their mental problems.

Daryl Hannah a few years back had a chain to a tree moment when the new owners of a piece of LA property wanted to develop it. There is a sorted history on the property, which was city owned at one time. The problem from '94 to 2006 it was being used as the home for some 350 mini-urban farms AKA the South Central Farm. She among other hollywood types heard the plight of these people, made a big deal in the press and then made demands despite the opportunities to purchase the property silently from the new owners for a higher asking price. If they just bought the land for the people in the first place when the subject came up 2 years before but they instead tried to shame the owners into selling which forced them not to sell at all. The last I heard the property is empty.

The aggregate of their wealth and the use of it could go so far if they really wanted to be the humanitarians they try to appear to be.
