If we lose our jobs it will be 100% our fault. We wait for letters/phone calls and law suits to take care of things. While we wait things just keep moving ahead. Why are Americans SOOO whimpy these days? I guess it is easier to be professional victoms than it is to stand up for ourselves. We have to force the issue soon or it will be too late. WE have the power IF we choose to exercise it. Our congress/government has become a total joke, BOTH parties. I regret the 20 years I spent defending this country. We just give away the freedom that many died for. As long as we have our brew and the game all is well. WELL, wake up or it will soon be over.

Layout, this is off the Mexican thing but I find your comments interesting. I agree 100% Oprafied is what this Country is. PC went way too far. Everyone now woories about feelings,and who they can take to court for hurting their feelings.
People is the Country no longer understand how we got here and sure as hell don't have the stomach to fight or protect when we need too. How long will we continue to have a military. Soon no one will join because it is impossible to do the job and if you do manage to do it then you are in court for doing it. Sad really.

We should simply sit back and enjoy while we can and ask others to leave us alone and they will. Ha. It makes me sick to my stomach when I give it thought.

Just keep a REALLY close eye on this MEXICAN thing and it won't be hard to see what is going on. They are planning big protests again on May 1. Why May 1? May 1 is a major holiday in the socialist world. There has been a MAJOR movement in this country led by our elected leaders to turn this country into a socialist country. BOTH parties and we keep following like moths to a flame. Expediting is the ultimate in capitalism. We enjoy the freedom that comes from it. As we slide further down that slope we will have less and less freedom and more and more people out of work. THOSE are the benifits of socialism. Good luck with all the lawsuits, we can talk about what went wrong with them when we are all in the bread line.

It's time for a law requiring all business, both verbal and written, to be conducted in English. A few chapters out of Unintended Consequences wouldn't be upsetting either.

First Leo, it would be far better to enforce the laws we already have.

I was reading about the marches in Detroit today and one comment I found rather eye opening is about the humanitarian need to allow these invaders here. I can't see any humanitarian need outside of helping them stay in their own countries so they can change their own country be it by the vote or by a bloody take over - I honestly don't care.

The other thing I find some what troublesome is the idea we should really care about the families left behind. Call me heartless or insenitve, but no one cares about the Americans who lost thier jobs and their family gets split up or the guy who ends up on the wrong end of a crime and his family has to deal with that loss.

By the way, I wrote a letter to the Township I live in demanding that they host a Festa della Repubblica (Italian holiday) day being that they host a Cinco de Mayo day.

I agree we need to enforce the laws we have and as much as I don't believe we need more laws in general I do believe mandatory English for all business and educational usage should be enacted. That will take care of a huge part of our illegal invasion problem as well as the Mexican truck problem we are facing.

Five years ago I felt no animus toward anyone. Now I am extremely unhappy with foreign invaders and wish them nothing but negatives. I am totally unhappy with Vicente Fox, Bush, Pelosi and all the rest that have allowed this to happen and will not be at all unhappy when ill befalls them.

The sad thing is the Republican congress is fighting for the laws in place to be enforced. The problem is the president is turning his back on the very base that got him elected and wants every one of the illegals given amnesty. The democrats are stupid and want to give the country away. I would like to vote for a president one time in my life that would actually do what he said when he was campaigning. I don't think I will ever see it.

Good point Moot. I get so red necked over this subject I can't type half the time. I was at the Circuit Clerk office today and was told the new american card is coming. It has a $100 per person price tag and your right we all must have it or you cannot borrow money or get your drivers liscense or anything that non communists people enjoy. But the highlight was you guessed it the Mexicans and illegal residents do not have to have it. God you gotta love it.

What is a Circuit Clerk and so far you're preaching hearsay about a $100 american card? Why would a Mexican or an illegal resident have to pay for our "american card"? They have their own citizenship to deal with.
Mexicans and illegal residents might be one in the same. Also, Mexicans are from Mexico and might have green cards here. They would generally not be citizens. Being from Central America they would be Americans, so they would pay for their own american card if they had it.

Actually those are all Americans in broad terms. Narrowed down one step you have North Americans, Central Americans and South Americans. Narrowed down again you have Peruvians, Hondurans, Canadians etc. and through common usage citizens of the U.S.A. referred to as just Americans. To be truly accurate though anyone from either of the continents in broad terms is an American.

Thanks LDB for your explanation. Me I am just an american. Fish I wish I had a link for you to go to for the card thing. All I know is my Circuit Court Clerk in my county told me this was coming and very soon. It had already been passed in Washington. You can flame all you want but I have known this lady all my life and feel assured she could not dream this or make it up. All I can tell you is wait and see and I hope she has lied to me. It refers in the bible to the mark of the beast and I am afraid if this is true could be the beginning. I feel as though you have labeled me a liar so I will refrain from posting and just read. Robsdad, please calm down, and understand that Fish wasn't calling you a liar, just pointing out that what you reported is hearsay - which it is. That doesn't make it untrue, necessarily, just unverified. I can't see why we'd need an 'American card', having already gotten used to Social Security cards being a de facto ID, which was never supposed to be their purpose - but not much the politicians do is surprising anymore.
