Can those of you who have adequate experience give your opinion on who is the best to contract with?

i see you have a seattle, wa area, that's kind of a hard ship, as most company's are in the east or mid west and should ask the following question, how much home time to you want and how offent are
you plan on going home,

my self i like fedex cc , i think it's best there is, as
they have helped me out many times when certain thing came up
my dad was dieing and they kept me within 3 hour's of driving time
from his home and was able to see him about 1 weekend a month before
he passed away, this means alot,

also one time saw a small child killed in a 10-33 and later told
a dispather about this and they called a friend to check on me to
see if i was allright, they were worried that schock of seeing someone
dieing in a 10-33 would be up setting and they wanted to make sure i was alright.

also came up on a truck wreck and it was one of our trucks and they ask me to stay and help provide com with trooper at the site and
provide comfort to team and aid in anything else they may need
and then they asked how are they doing, what will need to due for
them,

and i have been here 10 year's
and left for 2 week's and they said don't take everything off the
truck try it and if you don't like it come on back
they are a great company
there are a few thing that need to be fixed and they
would be greatest company going
but now for the coments from peanut ??????????????

Hi,

Was all this done when it was Roberts Express, or after fedex took over.

I agree with "GEO" that Fedex C/C is just fine, for a number of reasons. Here is one. I received a citation from the Calif Highway Patrol at the Truckee Inspection Station for having what they said were tinted cab windows on the driver and passenger doors. The officer didn't bother to put the meter on the windows to test the tint and just said they looked too dark to him. {Their was no tint on them} He gave me a citation neverless. I notified Fedex C/C as I was supposed to and was about to pay the fine. I received an inquiry from Fedex Safety Director, Pat G., saying that she thought I might have been harassed. She investigated the facts, went to bat with the "Chips" and decided that Fedex would pay the fine for me. I didn't expect that at all but it shows that the folks at Fedex C/C care a great deal more than some folks think. :D

I was doing a transfer once at a forwarder in montgomery, AL once and was accused of backing into the companys perimeter fence. I hadn't even came close to their fence (I think it was a scam actually to make a little extra pin money for this company.)

After a near fist fight and a half hour of each of us using words that would make a sailor blush, I called and spoke to Pat at FECC. I told her my side of the story.

FedEx being FedEx I figured my word wouldnt mean anything. I was shocked when Pat G. believed me!!!! Not only did it not effect my safety award but FECC paid the so called damage!!!

I'm sort of tardy w/a reply, but have been with FedEx since 9/94 (it was Roberts Exp then), and could not be happier. Wife and I drove team first 6+ yrs. Now have 3 White Glove refers and we stay home. Drivers are a never ending "challenge" but it is worth it. The people at FedEx are pretty much the same as when was Roberts, and for the most part they are great. They are fair, professional, and your pay is ALWAYS on time and correct. We would not go anywhere else. Good Luck! J & B:) :)
